Motorola announced more layoffs. It will cut another 2600 jobs, bringing its total cuts in 2008 to over 10,000. Since January 2007, Motorola has cut more than 10% of its workforce.

Motorola is to close its handset manufacturing operations in Singapore by the end of the year.

Takeshi Natsuno, DoCoMo, will quit the company.

Portugal Telecom has named Zeinal Bava as its new CEO.

Sony Ericsson has named Lennard Hoornik, as CMO.

Telecom NZ has appointed Russ Houlden as CFO.

Qwest CFO John Richardson is leaving the company.
