Nortel has secured a 5-year contract with US Cellular for upgrading its CDMA network, and received $100m order from BSNL (India) for additional GSM lines. SkyLink has selected Nortel for the provision of a CDMA 1X EV-DO Rev. A solution in Russia.

Ericsson has been selected by Warid Telecom (Pakistan) to expand and upgrade its GSM/GPRS network. It will deliver a FTTH network to Bangladesh-based internet service provider Grameen CyberNet. It has been chosen by mCel (Mozambique) for the expansion and upgrade of its IP transport network.

NSN will deliver core network infrastructure to HCPT Hutchison (Indonesia).

Telsima and Iskratel are delivering WiMAX infrastructure for a nationwide deployment in Slovakia to Telekom Slovakia.

Redline has been chosen for a multi-city WiMAX network (around Phnom Penh in Cambodia) by CityLink.

BTI Systems' optical solutions will be delivered (via Goldfield Telecom) in the US to over 500 ILEC and CLEC operators.

ComDev is supplying multiplexer and switch equipment for Ka-Sat satellite to EADS.

Cambridge Broadband Networks is delivering its microwave backhaul product- VectaStar to S. Africa-based MTN in Nigeria.

ALU will deploy 100k IP DSLAM lines and integration services throughout Pakistan for PTCL, and received, with ITI, a $670m order from BSNL (India) for 9m GSM lines. It signed a €24m contract with Wana (Morocco) for wireless transmission and network integration services. It deployed its IP/MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) solution in FPL FiberNet network, and a nation-wide data recovery service network for PT Telkom in Indonesia.

Motorola has signed a contract with China Unicom Shanghai for a Value-Added Service Platform (VASP).
