BT reports that 4Q07 profit fell 30% to £447m, on flat revenues of £5.1bn. Global services revenues grew by 6.3%, while retail increased by 1.8% and Openreach by 6.6%. Wholesale revenues fell by11%. New Wave revenues increased by7% to £2bn. EBITDA grew 2% to £1.47bn
Globe Telecom (Philippines) reported a 13% rise in net income to $334m in 2007, on revenues up 11% to $1.6bn.
KPN posted a surge in net profit to €1.6bn on €1.1bn income tax gain. 4Q07 revenues increased 20% to €3.7bn, while EBITDA rose 6% to €1.2bn.
Singtel (Singapore) announced robust growth in earnings (+10%) to $658m, on revenues of $2.3bn, up 11%.
DiGi (Malaysia) reported 4Q07 net profit up 22% to $91m, 2007 net profit of $328m (+32%), on respectively revenues of $365m (+22%) and revenues of $1.35bn (+19%).
America Movil said its 4Q07 net profit rose 49% to $1.4bn, on sales up 26% to $7.8bn, all above consensus. EBITDA rose 28% to $3bn, with a margin growing almost 1 point to 38.5%. Full year results are also strong: net profit rose 32% to $5.4bn on sales up 28% to $28.7bn. America Movil expects to spend $4bn in 2008 capex.
Teliasonera announced 4Q07 EBITDA of €746m, down 7%, on sales of €2.6bn. Full year sales amounted to €10bn, up6%, with an EBITDA of €3.2bn, down 5%.
Neuf Cegetel (France) said its 4Q07 revenues grew 20% to €911m, EBITDA margin reached 22.5%. Neuf Cegetel is subject to a takeover bid from mobile operator SFR (France).
