Cisco will provide core routers that will become the core platform of AT&T' s IP/MPLS backbone network. It will provide Reggefiber (NL) with IP-NGN and Ethernet FTTH equipment.

NEC has received its first mobile WiMAX order (worth 200 base stations) from Tatung InfoCom (Taiwan).

ALU has signed a €90m contract with Tele Greenland for an undersea system between Greenland, Iceland and Canada. East African Consortium signed $79m contract with ALU to deploy 4,900 km submarine cable network between Kenya and UAE. Wharf T&T has selected ALU to expand its IP/Ethernet network in Hong Kong. A broadband access solution for triple play and VPNs will be supplied to Tunisie Telecom. Telecom Egypt awards ALU an integrated management of change contract, including assessment, re-engineering, and modernization of its operations and maintenance processes. ALU will supply an IP/MPLS solution to Brazil Telecom. It will supply its GPON solution to hanarotelecom (S. Korea), for IPTV, and VOD services.

ALU has been selected as the sole supplier of China’s largest high-speed e-government backbone network.

Nortel has been selected as the platform supplier for Verizon Business' VOIP PBX services to large customers.

Thomson/ Cirpack supplies Cablecom (Mexico) with its VOIP platform.

Ericsson is providing a Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN) solution in Greece.

Alvarion has been selected by French Altitude to provide mobile WiMAX solution in the Aveyron region.

Redback/ Ericsson is helping Indonesian Biznet on pre-paid and on-demand broadband services.

Ciena has sold its CN 3000 Ethernet Access solution to BT to support BT' s 21CN project. .
