ALU won a core IP/MPLS network deal with SFR (France). It will deploy its GPON solution for very high speed services for Neuf Cegetel (France). Kordia (NZ) has selected ALU for its IP routing solution to broadcast digital television. ALU provides an intelligent control plane and electro-optical cross-connect networks to Telefonica. It announced its selection by NTT (Japan) for building IP-VPN infrastructure. ALU will provide Polish Exatel with an IMS solution, and i2CAT Foundation with a next generation Internet broadband solution. It will supply Belgacom with its VDSL2 fiber-to-the-node solution. Iceland’s Síminn has selected ALU as its GPON fiber-to-the-home supplier. SK Telecom (S. Korea) has awarded a contract to ALU for upgrading its optical fiber network.

Ericsson won DT' s contract foe VDSL2+ equipment. ALU has won a $82m contract to build a submarine fiber-optic cable linking Kenya and the UAE.

Nortel provides additional capacity to Bankverket ICT (Sweden) current optical infrastructure. It delivers Metro Ethernet equipment to Sapphire (Gibraltar), and will provide FarEasTone (Taiwan) with mobile WiMAX gear.

Redback/ Ericsson will build an advanced broadband network for German QSC. It was awarded triple-play contracts with telecoms operators in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala and Paraguay. Redback has also been selected by Neuf Telecom to deploy its SmartEdge 1200 multi-service edge routers to aggregate optical access nodes into a high speed, 10 Git/s metro Ethernet network.

Intracom and Pirelli Broadband will deploy CWDM technology into Hellas Online infrastructure.

Zhone Technologies has been selected by Saudi Telecom for its Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM) solution.

NSN will deliver an IPTV solution to Belgacom, and broadband access to BSNL (India). In this later deal, NSN will deploy broadband access across 7,000 villages across India.

Optibase will provide Bharti Airtel (India) with its IPTV encoding platforms.

Thomson has been selected by Smart Telecom to provide an end-to-end solution for triple-play services.
