Nortel (through its local partner Kapsch CarrierCom) won a new GSM-R (GSM for railways) contract with Czech Railways.

ALU has signed four contracts with three China Mobile units (Ghuizhou , Shanxi, Shanghai) for their GSM networks and one China Unicom unit (Inner Mongolia) for its CDMA network.

Transit Wireless has got the New York City's Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) order for offering mobile services inside the subway stations.

Huawei has won eMobile (Japan) HSDPA contract.

Ericsson has signed a new frame agreement with TMIB (Bangladesh) to upgrade and expand its GPRS/GSM network. It will participate (with NSN) to build MTS (Russia) ' s new 3G network.

Huawei has ordered 1m mobile handsets to manufacturing company Cheng Uei.

NSN has won a $253m contract from China Mobile subsidiary (Henan MCC) for a GSM network expansion. It will participate (with Ericsson) to build MTS (Russia) ' s new 3G network, and has received a €61m contract for a 3G/HSDPA deal with Taiwan's Chunghwa Telecom.
